 For this painting, I wanted to capture the unique atmosphere of the Vallon des Auffes, this small port typical of Marseille with its boats huddled together, its colorful houses and its viaduct in the background.
 I worked on the reflections in the water to give movement and play with the light, contrasting with the more sedate architecture. The colors are bold, the shadows marked, to transcribe this mixture of warmth and authenticity that one feels when walking there.
 A nod to the Mediterranean atmosphere that I love to paint so much.
